The Problem

When I bought my home there was a row of pine trees that screened the view between the 2 homes.  When the home was rented the tenants cut down the pine trees %^$$#@!

The Solution

I trenched the property line and installed a vinyl root barrier.  I think its funny but true that for every property owner looking to install some bamboo for screening there is 2 others looking to remove it from their property.   And with this surplus of Bamboo it is still extremely expensive to buy.
