End Of July

The mechanical end of the water system is complete.
Finnish panels being stained. This panel covers the front bottom face of the sleeper. it is 3/4 ply because it also separates the sealed mechanical area under the sleeper from the inside of the trailer.
Money saving tip: I use the stain I want to Finnish in only for the front exposed face of the panel. the entire wood panel must be sealed but you can use any combination of stains to Finnish the mechanical chamber side. I mixed redwood and golden oak and it looks terrible but who cares. it still seals the wood and no one will ever see the ugly side.
My sister came over to see the progress and made a good point that she did not like the AC unit hanging out of the back end of the trailer. I have to agree that was a mistake so now that someone else has pointed it out I am going to try mounting it under the sleeper again.. I stripped the cover off the unit and was finally able to slip the unit in place under the front sleeper as I had originally planned. AC in the forward mechanical compartment is not an easy task to pull off. The unit must have the following provisions
drainage through the floor
outside air inlet for cooling the rear radiator
outside exhaust to exhaust the hot air
Inside portage for air-in and air-out of the cooling side of the unit
relocation of controls
It has not rained here in Moriches NY for over a month now. everything in the yard is dry and dead. Here is a shot of my construction shop.
